Caseology: Cases for All the Things You Love

THE ASK

Artex was approached by CASEOLOGY, an electronics case provider, to make a thirty second television and internet spot. The goal of the ad was to show consumers that cell phone cases can be fashion accessories, like handbags or jewelry. The client also requested that we show over 50 varieties of cases and accessories from their catalog, as well as show natural captured moments throughout the day. Entertainment and production values were paramount. Primary audience was the internet- which necessitates engagement or consumers click through.

APPROACH

We enjoy what we do, and this was no exception. Instead of taking the easy route and combining a bunch of static product shots, we stitched together different situations with the phone cases, so that each had a look and feel. In between the shots, we did some slow motion shots to capture the “moment frozen in time” as the customer requested. Using a Phantom ultra slow motion camera, our video production wizards crafted a fast and beautiful overview of the CASEOLOGY product line set to music. Everything you see was done in house, from initial consultation to post production. Soup to nuts.

RESULTS

The customer was thrilled with the results. They expected something run-of- the-mill, but that’s never what you get with Artex. The energy created by the video, the sound, color, and music all introduce a large amount of products in only 30 seconds. We strive to excel, even in the tightest of spots. We might be biased, but this was one of our favorite shoots.
